Description Product

Details about : Kit of Double Row IMS Bearing + Tools for Porsche 996 (1998-2001)

Kit including RS13584 tools + double row IMS bearing RS90303. For Porsche 911 type 996 produced until May 2001 :

- 996 phase 1 3.4 - 300 hp (M96.01/M96.02/M96.04) Carrera from 1998 to 2001
- 996 phase 1 3.4 - 300 hp (M96.01/M96.02/M96.04) Carrera 4 from 1998 to 2001

In order to facilitate the assembly of the bearing and to preserve its integrity. It is strongly recommended to cool it before, in a freezer for 2 hours and in addition, to heat (to 120 degrees) the area of the engine block which will receive the IMS.

Also, it is imperative to ensure that there is no oil in the intermediate shaft tube before installing the bearing!
Centrifugal force, combined with residual oil, causes a counterweight which will destroy the bearing prematurely
